CHÂTEAU DE LA TOUR & DOMAINE LABET WINEMAKER’S DINNER
François Labet of Château de la Tour recently returned to Velaa for two exclusive Winemaker Dinners, presenting exquisite selections from the vineyards of Château de la Tour and Domaine Labet.
Château de la Tour, built in 1890 by the ancestors of the current Labet and Déchelette families, is the only Clos-Vougeot Grand Cru to be harvested, vinified, matured, and bottled entirely within the historic walls of Clos de Vougeot. These are wines of deep tradition and remarkable ageing potential, crafted with the intention to be cellared for a minimum of ten years. During his visit, François Labet guided Velaa through a refined celebration of fine wine, highlighting the signature character of both estates in the atmospheric setting of Aragu Signature Restaurant, complemented by Chef Gaushan de Silva’s gastronomic creations. The dinners unfolded as elegant, memorable moments honouring the heritage and craftsmanship of Burgundy.
